Hair + Skin prep

HAIR PREP:

*Dirty hair will not hold a style, so please come with CLEAN + DRY hair. Having any bit of moisture in the hair will not allow the style to hold either, & will take away styling time to fully dry the hair.

*Do wash your hair the night before the event, with 2 shampoos & conditioner, rinsing thoroughly. Add in any styling products such as mousse, root boost, smoothing cream and blow-dry as smooth as possible with a brush. Please be mindful of the amount you use.

*If you have naturally curly hair & want to enhance it,  please add in preferred styling products and dry as you normally would. If we are changing the curl type, I will send specific prep instructions based on envisioned style.

*Dry your hair where you would like it parted. 

*Do not use hot tools such as a flat iron or curling iron on the hair after it is dry.

*For sleep, place your hair in a loose hair tie or wrap your hair loosely in bun secured with a jaw clip. We want to avoid creasing the hair. First thing in the morning, remove any hair ties/clips to allow your hair to breath & soften naturally.

*If you are bringing extensions to your appointment, ensure that they are washed thoroughly and blow dried smoothed. This step is especially important if they are a brand new set.

*Please wear a top that is either a button up or zip up as it will not disturb the hairstyle when changing. It is preferred that the top does not have a hood as well, as this can get in the way of certain styles.

SKIN PREP:

*Have your face washed & moisturized prior to the appointment. Ensure all makeup is removed, paying close attention to the lashes, as mascara tends to linger.

*Lightly exfoliate the night prior to the event.

*Do not start any new products less than 1 month prior to your event. This is to avoid any irritation or reactions to something new.

*Prep appointments such as waxing or facials should be done about 1 week prior to you event
